Pan Gaket???

Changing the fluid in the trans, and have a rubber gasket. I had a cork one but it leaked, so I got a rubber one. Should I use permatex on the gasket, or install dry?

Changing the fluid in the trans, and have a rubber gasket. I had a cork one but it leaked, so I got a rubber one. Should I use permatex on the gasket, or install dry?

The gaskets usually leak because the bolts are over torqued and distort the pan. I install the gaskets dry.
