I have a scanmaster but just interesting to learn & know how to read codes with the paper clip method. Where do u install paper clip? how do u read codes?What kind of codes can u read?

Interesting link, thx..But the part I don't understand is the service light flashing. I get the first 3 flashs for code 12 to show ecm is working.. So now the next 3 flashs would be code 13 or if it was 4 flashs it would mean code 14 is this correct?

Sort of. You'll have to carefully count the flashes. the 12 will look like flash pause flash flash followed by two more repeats of that
then the trouble code if it were for example 24 ( flash flash pause flash flash flash flash) same sequence repeated two more times, then closes out with the 12 three times at the end.
Takes careful attention and counting.
