My directscan was working fine. Had no way of transferring logs to my 'real' laptop so I installed some old school USB drivers so I could use a flash drive. Since doing that, the software doesn't recognize the hardware. I don't see any conflicts in the hardware but that's what changed.
Laptop is a Compaq Presario 1260 running 98.
For the heck of it, can someone go into their setup, go into advanced - integrated peripherals - parallel port settings. Probably is set to Auto. I need to know the base address and interrupt (IRQ). You can also check in control panel - system -device manager - ports - LPT1 - properties - driver - driver file details - resources. If you could list those values along with the location and name of the driver, I'd appreciate it.
Think all my values are fine - I/O 0378 - 037F. IRQ=07. Driver is c:/windows/system/LPT.VXD (4/10/98).
I removed and re-installed the port but haven't hooked it back up to try yet.
Thanks,
Dan
