Can someone tell me what the part number is so that way when I order one I don't have to worry about getting someone who doesn't know what I'm talking and subsequently get the wrong part.
thanks, james.

I copied these #s from another post: Timing chain tensioner spring:1358909, bolt: 1356635, dampener: 25532546. I do not know if these have been superceded. This will get you started

James,

If by chance you meant drive belt tensioner it shows to be 25526387 and available from GM Parts Direct for $68

HTH

The tensioner is less than $10.

Everything, including chain, gears, tensioner, spring, new style crank seal, new style roller cam button and gaskets should be less than $60.

best source is your local auto parts store, like napa.

Why not buy a double roller for 80 bucks and never have to use that tensioner agian?

Because a stock replacement will last 100K miles and cost $25.

It isn't like our 100# springs and .45" lift cams put much of a load on the timing chain.
