I heard somewhere those animals aren't really "in the wild" and that they are actually contained in small perimeters which would make it really easy to get good footage. Could be wrong....

Hmm, not sure about that. If it is "contained" then I would venture to say "contained" is probably an area the size of Rhode Island if it's located anywhere in the Serengeti. The Serengeti is over 100,000 square miles. Rhode Island is 2000 square miles. So yea, maybe so.

I guess that would qualify as being contained nonetheless.

No big deal but I always thought the camera crew ventured out into the wild risking life and limb to capture these awesome clips. It would be kind of dissapointing to find out otherwise.

Gotta love the life of a male lion. Sleep all day while the liones's do all the work of hunting/killing the prey and ocassionally when some smaller intruder comes along you rip them apart and go back to sleep.
