I just sold a part on Ebay and got funds sent through PPal. It was an instant transfer, but it is unverified. I don't know if I should Send the item or not??? The buyer does have a good track record, but there are alot of dishonest people out there. Is there anything I could do to cover my butt if I send it? He said he has had problems with PPal trying to get verified. Thanks for any input.

unverified just means that he is using a credit card and hasn't verified his checking account yet its safe to ship your stuff if you already have your money

I thought unverified means the buyer is not using a credit card & only pulling $$ from his checking account to paypal account.

That is how I have mine setup. It always says I have an unverified account. The reason I did this is I don't want PP
to know my credit card number

Once the money is in your account and accepted, you're golden. The verified means when you have a credit card listed, the billing address matches the shipping address. Also they have to have a bank account on file, I believe. Go ahead and ship the item.

I've done lot's of PayPal buying and some selling and remain "unverifed" because I absolutely REFUSE to give anyone access to my bank account. Am I the only one to feel this way? I'm just totally uncomfortable giving this access. I have no problem using a credit card online, but bank account numbers? NO WAY! :(

Nope, unverified means the money's being drawn from a credit card.
Being verified means that they have supplied their checking account info also, as a backup.
Something I absolutely refuse to do! I don't need access to my checking account floating around the internet any more than absolutely necessary.

Dont worry about it ,,send parts....:) :)

Took me 2 yrs to become Verified ,,some banks just dont operate that way....

I feel the same way....they get my CC, so what, I don't pay and just oppose the charges...they clean your bank account, and you have to fight the bank then to get it back...
