I just changed the pcv on my 85 gn. No problem with the pcv plugging into the gromet or the other end going into the junction. What I didn't catch was that there is a "T" connection with another line and I don't see where that plugs into. I already looked at the diagrams under the hot air section and I don't see a "T" connection being shown. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thks.

I looked at one of the NOS engines for you. The tee'd line goes to the inner- most port on the wastegate solenoid. (The outer-most line on the solenoid eventually gets hooked up to one side of the wastegate actuator.)

Thanks guys, i was able to find the connection. It went to a plastic 90 degree fitting. I cannot tell you guys how great this site is.

So basically it's a filtered air source for the wastegate solenoid.... You could probably eliminate the "T" and use the little foam filter on the solenoid like the 87s do.

I'm not sure that can be done on a stock hot air engine. The factory wastegate actuator on the hot air is a two port unit while the intercooled engine uses a single port wastegate actuator.

The hot air can run a single hose or a double hose waste gate actuator. I run a single hose on my stock turbo and a two hose on my TA33C. The original design for the two hose waste gate actuator was for relieving pressure while climbing hills. Not necessary which is why the 86/87 went to the single hose. Good luck- Brad

Thanks Brad for the clarification. I was trying to read between the lines for what cool84 wrote. There would be a problem using the factory vacuum hose setup with a two port wastegate actuator and having one port open to atmosphere. What cool84 said could be done if the vacuum hoses were configured like the '86-'87 setup with the right check valve and a single port wastegate actuator was used.

I did not want to confuse what it seemed Frank was originally asking.

Good to know the background on the two port actuator.
