have got one of the "oil vapor catch cans" from ebay and was wondering where to mount the thing, if it is worthy etc. if anyone has any info please give me a holler.

I don't know what you have, but I've got the AMW can and I think it works great. I initially had mine mounted behind the bumper...passenger side. It was too "cold" there and got alot of moisture condensing out of the vapor along with the oil. The can filled too quickly. I since moved it to the engine compartment; mounted to the back lip of the turbo shield where it can be positioned vertically. The heat here pulls only the oil out of the vapor and allows the lighter water and gasoline vapors to pass thru and into the intake. Here's a picture.

does the heat from the turbo confound things?

it is (will have to say) hard to believe that 20 plus psi from a 3/8 outlet would have enough volume/press. to make things unsteady in the bottom end. but here again ANY excessive press. down low cant be good. i had a small block chec. in one application and used smog pump check valves (big) welded into the header collectors to pull a slight vac. on the crankcase. hey..an idea. could mount a smog check in the down pipe to pull a slight vac............................

Confound? This may be the first time anyone ever used this word on this board. :D

No, I don't think the heat from the turbo (or downpipe) is confounding things. Like I said, I think the heat is helping the catch can do its thing by only pulling the oil out of the crankcase vapors and allowing the rest of the lighter contaminants pass thru.
