Peglegger ??

Hey all,
I have a pegleg GN (someone switched out the positraction rearend) but the vin code indicates a G80....my question is how can I go about installing posi in my GN? Do I have to purchase a complete rearend? Is an Eaton posi an option (looking for cost effectiveness here) Please help....

The first thing I would do is verify it's a pegleg, just because it only spins one tire doesn't mean it's not a posi. The clutches could be shot in the posi and only one tire is getting the power. That is if that is how our posi units work. Anyhow, If it's actually a pegleg, I would llok around for a rear end and see what turns up. Now if nothing turns up, I would look into buying a Posi and having someone install/set it up. You really want someone installing the gears/posi that knows what their doing. Also, check out the gears, if they replaced the carrier, the gears maybe different as well.
