look at the 200mph Buick winning the 1998 Silver State Classic on ESPN2. (6.0MB .mpeg) vid

That stance is perfect. Can anyone tell what wheels hes got or have any ideas on how his suspension looks so perfect. With my luck it is probably a tube chassis deal with totally custom suspension but worth a shot

Pretty much so.

If you want low, 1LE front coils, with a loop cut off, and dropped spindles.

Then convert the rears to QA-1 coilovers.

There is an outfit doing a conversion for coil overs in the front. There's a mention of them here, some time ago.

Thanks man. I have the 1LE coils up front. But was planning on going coilovers sometime.

FWIW, I've done the rear conversion, and I wasn't at all thrilled about losing the Bilsteins out back. But the QA-1s seem to work really well. They're just not that much difference then the B's.

Awesome. What kit did you use for the conversion? How hard was it....it doesn't seem that difficult but any big problems?

Can you show me a pic of your car? I want to see the stance and such.

Also, what size wheels can you fit up front and out back now? Im trying to build more of a road race car not a drag car which it seems like you may be doing.

Thanks,
Joe

I used a kit from Jeg. There's some photos here about how it was done. I was being min-tubed at the time. Not too bad, just gotta go slow and figure things out as you go.

There's some car pics there. With the coil overs out back I can ratchet up or down as I want.

Mine's just your basic grocery getter <g>
I think 3-5 mins in boost is fun.......

Thats a pretty mean GN. What type of wheels are those, they look kind of like corvette wheels or something. Where did you learn how to do all those electronics projects. I am going to school for electircal engineering and next year I have to design and build a circuit board for a project of my choice and was thinking about doing something for my GN motor.

Thanks,
Joe

Mine?.

Yes, the Repop ZR1 wheels from Jegs.

I've bought all the *Mini Engineer* Electronics books Radio Shack sells, Forrest Mimms Circuit Collection, and read alot.

High Resolution Bargraph Boost indicator comes to mind. Use 2 10 LED Bargraph displays, and 3 bar MAP.
