Performance Parts Input on 5.3 Vortec

Im working on a friends truck just trying to make it a little faster. Its a 2002 reg cap GMC with the 5.3. Ive got the alum block 5.3 in my truck ran high 16 stock did K&N intake, Poweraid spacer, Maf, HP Tuners, and exhaust ran a low 15 and gave up. This truck will probably run a mid 15 now and we are shooting for high 13's. Just looking for input on a combo.

But my main question is...is anyone using the hypertech hyperpac? Im debating between the HP Tuners(because it did well on my truck) or the hyperpac.

With..

Cam, heads, injs, stock exhaust, we found 310/330 @ the wheels. 2002 ext cab. No track time yet.
Next, the intake will be replaced w/ an LS1, and the exh will be changed to headers. [Looking to get in the 340 area at the wheels]
We are working on the necessary mods to put the LS intake on.. Relo the belt idler, mod the alt mount, move the WP, using a F body pump/spacers.[truck pump neck will hit the DBW motor, on an LS1 intake/tb.]
IMO, stay w/ the HP Tuners.. [We use EFI Live.]
I'm doing the same mods to my 6.0, in my 55 Chebby...

I don't like the tuners on these vehicles. I prefer to ship off the ecm to Westers and have them tune em. I've had them tune my old 5.3 and now the 6.2. In the old 5.3 I could run circles around the exact same truck that had a hypertech or diablo (can't remember which one he had).
