PF 24 filter coupler

I'm working on a WE4 car and someone has installed a filter coupler so a PF 24 or equivalent filter can be used. I believe that filter is used on the 1967 GS 455. My question is where did this adapter (coupler) come from? It holds the oil cooler adapter to the pump just like the stock one. I really like the idea of using this type filter, it's short and fat and doesn't stick out as far as a PF 52.
