looks like its gonna be a badass ride, the bodywork came out nice as well

the front end isnt a one peice. The fenders are aftermarket, alot lighter then stock. soon i will be going one peice nose and glass doors.. i cant wait to weight it in now, must be a potato chip

i updated the pics once agian, finished shaved drip rails, im so shock on how it came out. I thaught i made a huge mistake lol, but it worked out well in the end. I finished the cage today actually. Im just waiting on carpet and the seats can go in

hey are the fenders fiber glass and if so were did you get them

Man I have to say, you are one talented guy to do all the body work and fab yourself as well as the engine and drivetrain. I do ok on all other ends other than body work, but I can't do it all.

Good Job Man!!! :p

oK, I'm not taking anything away from anyone here but why would you shave the drip rails?

Cage looks freakin awesome man! Why didnt you do the swing outs? Just curious, I thought those were real popular.

ya know it does look real clean, one of the last pics it looks real good. Almost would fool someone if you told them "full 'glass body' haha

yeah who cares about drips? Chit aint nothing man just let it run down the side of the car. haha.

Like those seats too.

If I had to do it again... I would opt to crawl over. My car has a dead quiet ride with the exception of the noisy swing outs.

If you want a gallery on my website for your cars instead of that msn one email me...

thanks for all the compliments guys. i truley appriciate it.

The seats are made by SCAT(crankshafts) Procar seats Elite

The Fenders are from "Crash and rust" here in NY. They are new aftermarket, alot lighter then stock. Thinner guage sheet metal. I forgot the weight but it is lighter. They were $50 a peice

Anyways. i just rather crawl over the bar, it doesnt sit to high that would make a pain to get over. Also i have no door bars so i just made it solid.

Reason why i did shave the driprails, cause yes, it does look cleaner. i always wanted to see a gn with no moldings, and i did it. im just suprised on how it came out. plus its a track car so i wont have to worry about rain coming inside the car

Someone asked on how i did it, heres how

Step 1; have alot of time on your hands. 4 coronas w/lime and then dicide that your actually going to do this.

When you first cut the rail off, i cut it as close as i can, plus when you do cut it, it seperates the outer and inner roof. When i first cut it theres a lip that i grinded down flat. Now for the fun and ugly part. At first it looks like garbage but comes out nice. You must tac together the 2 peices, do not run a full bead or it will twist the metal! Grinded down the welds. Then i layed a few layers of fiberglass to go up,under and over the roof to have a nice smooth rail on the edge, you have to start sanding on the top side first to get the body line straight. Then you smooth out the side, fiberglass leaves tiny holes all over so i used a glazing puddy to fill in the rest and presto. Nice little project. If you arent as insane as i am, i suggest not doing it.....lol

The next thing to be finished is the alluminum door panels. Those will be carpeted on the ends for the custom fit rounded edges and also to retail the alluminum. I jsut need to find inside sill weather stripping.

Plus alot more to follow, stay tuned.....

Thanks for the info on the drip rails. That's the part where I was confused, I knew the drip rails were also pinch welds. I love the finished look, but too skeeeered to try it. Thanks Again !!
