The scuff pads will scratch the plastic making them look worse

i'll try the duplicolor, scuff pads didint make them look any worse than they did already. just was curious if painting them would hold up.

On my old hot air I just left the valve covers loose so they would seep/spray oil onto the inner fenders. They always looked nice and Armor All-ed! ;)

haha good one squid, hows the stage 2 goin? gonna bring to the show in june? i'll be therbut the buick wont be ready noit much time to work on it working full time and going to school full time, i do what i can here and there should be done with school this winter then can jump back on the buick.

After you get them good and clean go to your local motorcycle shop and get some silicone detail spray for motorcycle plastics, spray on let it sit for a while and soak in, spray again let it sit and then lightly wipe excess with a rag and they should look great!!!!

Unbelievably I used plain old armor all wipes on mine and WOW they look new other that the scuffs and stuff that happen over time.

OP I'm afraid if you hit them with a scuff pad nothing will get those scratches out, it's not like paint that you can buff after you wet sand it.
