They around $400 for the 80gig version and $500 for the 160gig brand new systems. I saw a deal in Wal-mart a couple weeks ago on the 80 gig system for $399 that came with a Wal-Mart gift card for $50 toward anything in the store. The new systems are not backwards compatible (will not play PS1 or PS2 games). Look around craigslist etc. and you can find them anywhere from $300 for on older 20 and 40gig (non backward compatible) system up to $400-$600 for 80 and 60 gig backwards compatible systems with multiple controllers and a few games. I just bought an 80gig backward compatible system that came with 2 wireless controllers, charging stand, headset, wireless keyboard and 2 games for $400. This was an awesome deal.

Damn..I thought it was cheaper in the States. Up here in Canada it's the same price.

Haven't looked lately, but was told that the current models are no longer backward compatible and nothing in the future will be. ??? Looks like Craigslist!!!
