I got this part # from the DIY alky kit NOS-13500. I'm going to be swapping my turbo and want to drill and tap the hole in the turbo adapter while it's off. I'm gonna plug the hole and when I got the $$ for the kit I'll just put it in, instead of taking the turbo off again and doing it then. Any help appreciated as always

well.. couple things dont jive..

One is why are you drilling into your turbo? This is not typically where a nozzle of any kind is mounted.

Also even tho the NOS is used by some, it really leaves a lot to be desired. Especially if you live in a colder area. See the alcohol needs a little temp to hit it, for it to flash, the finer you can spray it into the air stream, the better it will flash. And on Buicks the NOS nozzles are typically pointed away from the throttle body/torwards the IC so when it sprays, it distributes better with the air going torwards it. Kind of like peeing into a fan  , the other nozzle choice like the hago and aquamist do a much better job in the air stream.

Just giving ya some options before you commit to the drill bit.

Lonnie..hows the project coming along?

I'm not drilling into the turbo at all! I'm drilling into the "turbo adapter" The thingy between the turbo and intake. My car is a hot air so I don't have an intercooler and i've heard of other hot airs putting the nozzle in the same place. Sorry for any confusion.

By the way, if I want to drill/thread this, what size drill bit and what tap? And what sizes are the others like aquamist? Any part #'s would be great.

Is that a guess or do you know that from your own personal experience?

blueta.. ooops my bad  shoulda of seen your sig..

John.. come over I can demo ;) .. bring an umbrella :D

Whats that ol saying.. dont piss on me and tell me its raining ;)

blueta, sent you a return pm on the subject.

Dont forget you will also be needing a solenoid to cut off alky supply to the nozzle when the system isnt triggered. Since our nozzles are after the TB they are under vaccum...sooo, you will be siphoning the shiznit out of your alky supply. Not good, I know

Also, speaking as one who has been there and done that. I am happier with my mcmaster nozzle now, rather than continually playing around with jets and the NOS nozzle. One nozzle that sprays the way we need it to and is able to supply enough for as much horsepower your will probably be able to put out. Mine is the M15, many use the M10.
