What is a good plug and gap for my combo. Just added an smc kit but for got to add it to my profile. at higher boost such as 20-25 range should i change my gap? Thanks

www.gnttype.org recommends an AC-CR42TS plug gapped at .035" for cars running higher boost levels. my mechanic told me that the gap should only be widened with higher power ignition systems. i was told autolite was originally engineered to be a plug used in Fords but hey, if steve wood uses them they gotta be good;)

I use them because Lawrence Conley ran 7s with them in Tweaked....the 23 is equal to the 42s, heatrange wise. I have preferred the Autolights but don't hesitate to use the ACs if the Autos are not available. I have also used NGK UR-5s on and off over the years..they have worked well too.

One probably cannot find a hundreth between them. :)

There is no magic in plugs but bad ones can hurt. I don't know anything about the iridium plugs other than someone or another sometimes posts that Kenny D got 60 hp out of them...Normally, our ignition systems are not the weak point in our cars....
