Police Scanner?

Anyone here using police scanners? I was wondering if they would work okay in hawaii.. I'm thinking it would be going off like every other minute because town is so congested. Let me know, thanks a bunch!

Police uses ditigal frequencys now so the scanner will only pick up CB, certain fire depts and city workers. There is ditigal scanners available but its limited in frequencys, and its very pricey.

How about those front license plate laser deflectors? They are pretty pricey, but they garuntee to pay for any ticket you receive while the device is installed (mounted in front license plate). Are the digital scanners worth the money? Do you know anyone with them? Thanks a bunch bro!

Laser deflector work to a certain extent. The defuser is a plate that go over the lisence plate and defuses the laser signal, "but" only works at certain distance and angles. And its very noticable and you might get a ticket for the obstruction of the license plate. I used and installed many on the K-40 defusers and its "proven" to work. When we have the van cams here, many of the cops bought it for their "own" personal cars. But the only drawbacks on the K-40 many problems with falsing, its very sensitive to light. And also K-40 do pay for your ticket also but you got to make sure the ticket "says" you got gunned with a Laser gun.

And is ditigal scanners worth it? You decide. Can you afford it and will it work in Hawaii? I don't know anyone that got it.

I know someone with handheld digital scanner. In my opinion the the things are crappy. You need to get the frequencies you want or lock them after scanning.

NO roll bar for me . I was surprised on the time too! Also I was shocked on the 60ft! All I really did was plug in the MSD that I left unplugged for many months.

i have access to the frequencies... let me get them and I will share them with all. incedentally, the transnit and recieve on different freqs.( I think)
