Want ot polish my stock valve covers before I put my engine back together. Have been looking at eastwoods kits. Planning on purchasing one of their kits along with an arbor to mount the buff to a 1/2"drill. Think this will work? I've never tried anything like this?

If you have never done it before good luck. It is a pain in the butt. Looks good when they are done though. You might want to think about getting them ceramic coated and polished. Holds up better and easier to take care of. I have alot of coating under my hood and it is easy to clean and polish.

I did mine. Not really show quality, but real nice when shined up. If I ever get my new motor (It should be any day now... I went with roller rockers and Motorsports VC's...thanks to Jim Romanello) I'll sell you mine, of course you can look at them to see if theyre worth anything first....

Wow, thanks Jim. Never even saw the thread.

Been a weird month and a half. Thanks for caring...you guys are the best

My goal is nothing near show.........just a little better than they are now. My intake has this whitish stuff on it too...........looks a mess. I appreciate the thought Jim but I think yours would be diffrent (or the passenger side would be)if theycame off an 86. Learned that after I bought a set of Buick Motorsports valve covers from ebay. Thanks for all input!!
