I went to an all GM car show in San Fernando Valley, Ca today and ran into a board member and awesome machines from the General. There were a total of 4 TR's at the show but only two in the show. Ive got pics of the TRs but wont put them up w/o owner permission. Most of cars there were the average cars you always see ie Nova's, Maros, Bel Airs....but this Pontiac was one of the coolest ones there to me. I have seen Aero Montes but never a Tin Indian GP 2+2. Rare car this is 1 of 1225 built in '85. I read up on it and the car looks faster than what it is .... 150hp 305ci 200r4 3.08gear. Oh Jay Leno's Eco Jet was there too...I have no words that could describe the sound and design of that machine....Jay is my hero.

I almost bought one of those 2+2s. They had 2 of them that had been used in a parade and were $12, where my 86 GP cost $17new. Biggest issue was the little trunk lid, made the trunk useless esp since it is about 5ft deep.
And yes, very slow.

Yup.

Leno's car is crazy. Here's two shots from last year's show.

Great show. I would have gone, but the Bates Nut farm show was today also.

Happy spooling.

That Pontiac 2+2 might very well be one of the ugliest cars ever produced (alongside the Pontiac Aztek).

Amazing how NASCAR had a real affect on how production cars looked back then. Ugly, different, or sleek.

I can't remember the last time I seen an 800 HP, RWD Toyota Camry driving down the road.

they were functionally ugly, and the street version was unfortunately powered by a gutless 305.

if you look at the car, you can see hints of some of the design elements of the fwd Grand Prix that came out in '88. this was back when NASCAR actually had an effect on what the oems offered to the public.

Yeah that show was at Woodley park. The 2+2 is kinda fugly but cool at the same time. It reminds me of an overgrown Vega with a touch of Camaro Berlinetta. It looks functional as far as aerodynamics goes.

the 2+2 is actaully an 86 1/2 and i've heard sources say 1,111 and 1,118 were produced..
