i pull into a gas station down at Petersburg and at the pump next to me is this guy from NJ looking at the pump like its an alien device,
he asked me to help him work the pump so i tell him CC here pick your fuel then pump away.
2 minutes later he says "OHHH SHIPT THIS IS Gasoline" so i look over and said yeaup thats gas, then a look of death comes over him and he can't even talk so i look at his truck "power stroke diesel" then i look at the pump and he had already pumped ten (10) gallons of gasoline into his tank:eek:.
the guy was about and hour away from his delivery destination (two cars)
all i could do was to tell him NOT to turn the truck on and to call a tow truck or garage to come over and drain his tank.

could it have been that simple to solve the problem?

BTW in NJ you never ever pump your own gas so this truck driving guy in his 30s didn't even know how to use a gas pump:eek::eek:

how much total fuel was in the tank? 10gal of gas wouldn't hurt if he could put enough diesel on top of it.

Just add 2 stroke oil to it. I put 1 ounce to every gallon of low sulfer diesel in my trucks. It helps everything stay lubed up.

Draining and then refilling will easily solve the problem.

My buddies wife used a green handled gas pump and filled up his Mercedes/Dodge Sprinter diesel with gas once.

They just drained it and refilled with diesel, no issues.
