There has been some "discussion" about dealing with the "new guy".
It was such that one had to clik his name and look at the join date.
I asked Jay what could be done.
!. To remove the "New member tag would be a long process.
So, Jay has added all members "join date" below their screen name.
Don't let the "new guy" moniker derail your conversations.....

Why would someone want to designate themselves to being the FNG?

Also, holy moses my join date is within a month of Chuck's. Fawk.

As I recall...

the "new member" moniker was automatically assigned upon joining the forum.

"new member" wording would remain until a certain number of posts / reactions were done or points reached a certain value.

after a certain number of points / posts, I believe the "new member" wording could be changed by the individual member.

at some # of posts / points value, the "new member" tag was automatically changed to "well known member"

Folks could add an avatar image at any time, if so chosen.

The new format of showing a member's join date clearly, without any additional "clicks" is a simple and straight forward solution. Cool.

^^^ Exactly.
Too many folks looking for "stuff" get hooked, only to find later that the seller is a "hit and run"
and creates a dumpster fire.
An up front flag for all to see.
The guy joined an hr before and his "buddy" has a stage 2 block for $500.
