Thinking of shipping out a hot air throttle body to Altered Machine and have it ported to 62mm. The throttle body in question has the two pressed in brass sleeves to the IAC missing. Are these something that can be left out or would I need to send Altered Machine a TB with the sleeves in place. I tried to remove these brass sleeves from a "parts" TB, but can't get them out. I have other unmolested TB's I could send to Altered Machine, but would rather use this one if the missing brass sleeves won't have any adverse effect on the performance of the newly ported TB. What is the purpose for the sleeves anyhow? Another question - the brass sleeves stick up into the TB so won't these be machined flush during the porting?

ALTERED MACHINE DESIGN
Reach out to Greg. He does 86/87 TB's. I have talked to him in the past when I thought that I needed seals for the shaft only to find out the Hot Airs do not have seals. He's not too familiar with the Hot Air TB's so I thought I'd be a Guinea Pig and see if he would do one for me. The TPS and the Vacuum Block are also different from the 86/87. I have messaged him and waiting for a response to see if he is interested in doing the work. If it all turns out maybe I'll have him do two or three more to put on the shelf.

I actually emailed him back in December about this work , but didn’t sound very interested kinda just pointed me towards highway stars lol , hopefully you have better luck with him and he’s willing to give it a go
