No TR came with G-80 posi. You had to order it as an option and was $100.
my 87 GN didn't have a posi unit and came with aluminum drums
This is not correct, G80 means it is a locking differential (posi) the G87 code means it's an 8.5
10 bolt rear. G87 is NOT a designation for a peg leg or open rear end. Oooooook

Most 87 did have posi but the 84,85 and 86 was a different ballgame. I was sticking to the year the op posted.Maybe some veterans can chime in here, as I may be wrong on this but I believe that all late production 87 GN's were equipped with posi standard. Again this could be wrong

A couple of WE-4 owners on here said the same thing. G-80 had iron drums.my 87 GN didn't have a posi unit and came with aluminum drums
