poston fuel pump

my brother in law is looking at an 87 gn with a poston fuel pump. does anybody know anything about them? i just want to know if we should plan on upgrading the fuel pump if he gets it. it has a ta49 turbo, thdp and 43lb injectors

From what I understand it is a shimmed Syclone pump, so better than stock but not SAFE for a car with much in the way of mods.

those pumps are garbage, i had one before i knew better and it blew up three weeks old.
