I saw in their catalog where they offer a performance valve body with a shift kit and a few other items for under $300. Has anyone tried this and is it any good? Does anyone know what the valve body originally comes in? I see they also have a BRF body but it's about $200 more. My BQ valve body has a stacked shift that wasn't completely fixed by the last mechanic and I'm looking for a good performance one.

I'm ASSuming this is for an 84-85 bq tranny. yes the brf valve body is better, and probably as good as anything your going to buy aftermarket. i'd suggest you look in the for sale section and look for a brf valve body. they dont' wear out so used is a smart way to buy.

if you do have the brf tranny then i don't know. but i wouldnt' mess with it unless your making some serious power.

Yeah, I put the tranny out of my 85 GN in my 87. The guy just couldn't completely get the stacked shift out of the BQ valve body. It only occurs after it shifts into second. It will then go straight to third. It doesn't do it all the time, just now and then. It was decided to go to a generic valve body. This straightened my shifts out but they were alot less firm. I have the other mods to give the firm shifts but a big difference was felt by switching the valve bodies. That is why I'm looking a good body to put in. I've tried putting a post in the parts wanted section but couldn't find anyone with a BQ or BRF body for under $300 used. I saw the Poston's body and thought I'd check here to see if anyone else had tried it to see if it were worth the money. I will keep my eye on the parts for sale section though.

After clicking the link and reading the description I noticed it was, word for word, the same as Poston's. The only difference was the name was inserted in the description. I read before that the Poston servo was the same one Chris uses. Maybe they use the same performance valve bodies too? The one I was talking about in this thread is the one right under the Monte Carlo SS valve body. I believe it is the third one down. I still haven't found what this performance valve body comes out of. I'd rather have an original turbo Buick or MC SS body but $4-500 for one is not in my price range.

poston sells my valve body and if the price you see is on their site its a misprint.what we get is correctly listted on my site
