It's pretty easy I don't have the instructions..I'm sure you can find them on the internet..the scan master is 3wires ..Power ..ground ..and a wire that goes into the powelogger port that says scan master ..or under your radio in that port of you don't have the powelogger ..it's much faster and efficient with the powelogger
