I just got another power antenna that came off a garage kept Regal...the mast still has the shiny gold color and the correct mounting bracket to the fender. I installed a new AC Delco coiling line and mast kit to ensure longevity of the unit. I have not had an antenna sale since about last November because they're really getting hard to find...I was even going to keep this one because of it's "like newness", but I need a couple of bucks for my new project....Glenn

The antenna is chrome...the mast, which the antenna recedes into, is gold anodized ;)

The antenna mast is the part that goes up and down/receives the signal. Same nomenclature whether ham radio, car, TV- whether it goes up/down, or is stationary. Here's a sample of what the rest of the world thinks is called a, "mast." http://www.bavauto.com/se1.asp?dept_id=139 / http://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/86-92ant.htm / http://home.earthlink.net/~michaelpkeefe/HowTo_Antenna_Mast.htm / http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/78-8...tegoryZ33639QQihZ018QQitemZ280008286035QQrdZ1 What you are calling a, "mast" is actually the, "antenna housing." These semantic gymastics competitions are SO MUCH fun!! Search, "antenna mast" on eBay and there are over 600 auctions for them, none of which are, "housings."
