I'm in need of some technical info on changing out the Power Master motor only on my GN. I'd appreciate any ideas on how it can be done without making a total mess.

I assume that the brake master cylinder reservoir must be drained in order to keep from running brake fluid all over when removing the hose betweenthe motor and fluid reservoir?

Thanks,

You have the right ideal.
If you aren't going to remove the PM from the car, then you can use a big turkey baster to suck the brake fluid out. Tape a big plastic garbage bag under the PM. Put some paper towels on the plastic to catch the fluid that does leak out.

After you get the new motor/pump installed, be sure to force or inject brake fluid into the suction of the new pump.
This warning was on the instructions for my PM.
