i was wondering what type of performance gains people have encountered withthe Power plate. Either in HP or in the 1/4 times. I ve heard some mixed reviews referring to this power plate. looking at the power plate it look like it would restrict the amount of air, even though i know the purpose is to distribute the air evenly. Any input is greatly appreciated. I was considering purchasing one, but if there some better I can do with my money thatn Id rather do that.

Thanks,
Jovi

Tell me your kidding.

In case you're not- its NOT a restriction, it does work, and you will find it next to impossible to but something better for the same money. I don't know what "mixed reviews" you heard, but anybody here that knows anything will tell you to get it. Great product from a good guy too.

I didnt think anyone missed the 14 page discussion on this. I am sorry I posted to it since I am still getting emails on it every day:eek:

Yeah man..do a search this topic was just beaten to death and some. I have the plate and could tell a difference all around.

Looks like it restricts air to me, if you read his advertisement, sounds like he says it distributes air not flows more. Are you tellin me a 1" hole flows more air than a 5" hole. i dont think so! But i will look at the archives. thanks guys. and the above is for anyone who thinks the plate flows more air. If you can prove it them im worng and wouldl like to know where you got your info. Please dont tunr tis into a he dont know ish blah blah blah thread.

Thanks

I'm convinced the only way i'm going to know if it works is to buy one and try it. it's only 60 bucks, and i'm almost sure it will help.

For most, including at least one in the 9's, it has proven to be worth several times the cost. A few have not had success.

At 6000 rpm and assuming 100% VE (plenum to cylinder), I calculate that it only needs to flow 400 cfm. Any restriction seems to be mitigated by improved overall performance, theorectically due to better cylinder to cylinder distribution.

Nobody said it flows more air......They said it evens out the airflow to the cylinders.

Its getting out of hand already!!! Everyone get some duct tape and plastic sheeting, cover your windows, and dont come out for three days:eek:

If you would have read my post a lil more carefully you will see I state it doesnt flow more but distribute air. You reply made it seem as if I was saying it restricts air, which no i didnt say. I can read:o) I might have done a search first though to avoid tha maylay, your post was a lil smart azz. i was just askin a question, if i dont know i ask and if you dint know then i ask where i might find the answer, just lookin for knowledge homeboy!

Moderator, please forgive me, didnt know it was that deep! Stop this thread before someone gets there feeling hurt. Im bout to load my 45 and end it all. lol.

I just bought a precision upper and pp combo because i am getting tired of changeing headgaskets. I try to get every little bit out of my car. So $60 for a pp is cheaper than spending $80 a pop on headgaskets. I have a combo that will run in the 10s when i get the tranny rebuilt and a converter. Trust me it gets old changeing headgaskets.
