My power window swich in the drivers door is broken. One of switches (for drivers window) has broken off. I bought a new switch but I'm not sure how to take the old one off the door panel? Do you need to remove the door panel or just remove the switch and chrome bezel? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks, Craig Powell

Actually, if you are careful, you can remove any of the window and door lock switches without removing the panel.
The switches are secured in the panel cavity with "metal spring tabs". You can use a small narrow screw driver or "pick" to push them in from the sides, while (with a light pull) remove the switch.

When you get the new switch (usually on the shelf at any parts store) you'll see the metal retaining clips and it will be clear.
