I have my scanmaster updated with the newest chip, (i think its a powerlogger chip; not sure though) and it's not connected to the aldl any longer-it's connected to the ecm I think now. I want to keep the powerlogger on, but I'd like my scanmaster to plug back into the aldl and read the normal, standard issue stuff I'm used to seeing there. Don't ask why, it's just how my mind works. 1. do I need to exchange the chips inside of this thing now for it to read the standard old stuff it used to read? 2, now that it's wired into the ecu, where's the aldl plug at? Did it have to be snipped off? and 3. Will the scanmaster not being plugged into the ecu mess with the powerloggers ability to do it's job normally?

1. yes

2. you will need to connect it to the aldl connector, its under the radio.

3. reconnecting the scanmaster to the old, slow, limited stock datastream will not affect the PowerLogger.

4. Ok, I won't ask why....... but everything in the stock datastream is in the PL datastream.

Thank you sir. Though, you said I need to reconnect it to the aldl, which is underneath by the radio. That's the aldl port. Is the aldl plug that was on the end of the scanmaster still attached, if it's wired into the ecu now? Or was it probably snipped off.

the scanmasters don't come with an ALDL plug, You need to crimp on a small pin and push it into the ALDL connector, or connect to the orange wire on the back side of the connector.
