He guys decided to go with a new powermaster 150amp chrome smooth look alternator #37297-313. Received it today and noticed the plugs are different. Powermaster alternator has two prongs on its plug and my stock alternator has a plug with three wires and 4 prongs on the alternator. I was wondering if powermaster had a plug to adapt it but they don't. Powermaster tech guy told me I should be ok to just hook the 2 wires up to the post in the back and leave my stock plug unplugged. Not sure if this is what I want to do. I'm assuming that the wires for that plug go to the idiot light on the dash which won't charge the battery in its not plugged in. I do have the caspers field fix installed so I'm not sure if it's ok to run it with out the plug in. Any one else run into this situation. I posted a picture of the new alternator two pin and my old one and stock plug.
