powerstroke intercoolers

Has any one re-welded the inlet/outlet of a powerstroke intercooler to go under the core support ?? my radiator is to big /wide to go thru the core support so it looks like I need to go under it .. Would like some ideas and pics ...

and other few one..




if you shop carfully maybe you can find a good used FMIC for probably
less money and time in part for sale section. It's not the cheap way
to go to front mount. You need plumbing, rubber union, collars,
wellding and .............

That's some really nice work. I've seen others that go through the core support and am considering it as well. Is this on your car yet? Any impressions you would care to share?

yes it installed on my car i have a stock turbo @ 22 psi with alky
from stock IC with very ported dutt neck to power stroke
the gain was 0.15 and 1.5 mph if my memory serve my well

the final cost was arond 450.00

Bumping an old thread. Looking to do this to my PS intercooler, or something similar. I found that my cheapo intercooler that had been repaired is leaking.
