Well my PT6776 HPS finally went south on me.
I had to decide whether or not to send it back to get it rebuilt, or just buy a new one. I bought a new one because I don't have the time, or money for that matter to send it to them only to find out it will cost 500-700 dollars to get it rebuilt. Not to mention, it's way to big for my combo. This is a ball bearing turbo, so the price is quite a bit more. It's for sale locally too if anyone wants it for a measly sum of $400 this turbo new was around $1900 shipped from the previous owner of my car. Again it will need to be rebuilt. May trade for a good wide band set up, Power Logger ect.
Anyway, the new turbo... Once again figured I'd go big just in case I turn the wick up on this one.:wink: As I didn't get a chance to with the old one due to fueling and what not. A good fuel system will be next on my list along with suspension improvements for handling of course. But will beat up the 1/8 and 1/4 mi track too.
Specifics;
PTE's Precision PT6765 Turbocharger features the following:
• 67mm inducer compressor wheel
• Compressor cover options:
- "H" compressor cover 4.0" inlet/3" outlet
- "Ported H" compressor cover 4.0" inlet/3" outlet
• 65mm, 76 trim turbine wheel
• Turbine housing options:
- Buick .63
• Hydrodynamic 360° thrust bearing system
