President Reagan's Service

I was channel surfing tonight and came across C-SPAN which was showing the service LIVE for President Reagan lying in state. The honor this great man is receiving is indescribable and well deserved. It's very emotional to hear how quiet it is in the Rotunda and especially meaningful without the "expert commentary" in the background. Thanks C-SPAN.

I was especially awestruck at how motionless our honor guard is, it's almost non-human. I found myself watching for quite some time. Can anyone explain how such discipline is possible? These soldiers are almost statuesque.

I agree about the restraint c-span showed. You know it was driving Dan Blather nuts to have to show any respect for the late president. BTW, Kathleen Parker had a great op-ed article this morning about Mr Reagan, she has a syndicated column based out of the orlando sentinel. If you have a chance try to find it, great reading....
