pricing on rebuilds

i need to have my trans fixed and have got a wide variety of pricing from 1000 to 2800, this sounds strange to me, can anyone who has had their trans freshened up get me a ballpark figure? and who did the work? and if you are satisfied? thanks in advance

Depends entirely on what level of craftsmanship and parts you want. A good solid build (capable of living into the 10's) with some good strong billet parts would run upwards of 2800. A cheapo Midas build to get you home would run about 1000.

Since you are in Simi Valley, I would recommend Art Carr, California Performance Transmission. He has been one of the premier 200r4 specialists for over a decade. I recently visited Art and his shop in Hunrtington Beach and was thoroughly impressed, watched them run their transmissions on a dyno.... we have been using and selling Arts convertors for years, they are one of the best out there. If you have any questions, give me a call or PM... Most applications out there require no more than a $1000.00 to $1600.00 reuild...

I have a CK Trans, Stage 1. It has been in the car for almost 2 years. New motor and the trans still feels great. I have been very impressed with it.

I used Lenn Freeman in Vegas, total was right around 2k. All I had to do was send him a core after I got the new tranny. Hes great to deal with, shippings easy and a year and a half later no problems and good solid shifts. Heres their web site Performance Transmission.

I used Len Freeman, and I have no complaints. Hell he even came out to my city and trailered my car back to his shop. Thats customer service!!!!
