Problem with AIM

When I have AIM opens it signs me out and immediately back in every 5-10 minutes. Is there anyway to stop it from doing this, it's really starting to annoy me.

Most likely, it's your internet and/or ISP doing something screwy. Restart your computer, see if it solves anything.

Thanks for the idea, but it's been doing this since I came to college in September.

Ohhh, why didn't you say so? Same thing happens on our school's computers. The firewall at the school kills any sort of chat application, be it mIRC, AIM, MSN Messenger, nothing goes through. If you try to open it, it will kill it shortly thereafter.
