problem with door locks?

Went out to my TR today and the key goes in the lock but turns freely with out locking/unlocking the door. If I unlock the pass. side with the key I can unlock the driver's door by pulling up the knob. What is going on? I got the car back from the paint shop 3 weeks ago and this is the first time I have had this problem. Did they just put my door back together wrong or did someone try to steal the car and messed up my lock? Anyone have any input?

I'd say it could be either. My passenger side lock does the same thing ever since I got the car. I've never investigated fixing it, as I use the keyless entry 99.9% of the time anyways.

My guess would be that the tiny clip that holds the actuator rod to the lock cylinder popped off, so the lock cylinder isn't connected to anything any more. The lock know would still work in this case because it's connected separately to the lock mechanism. Could be the clip just came loose or wasn't put back on right if the paint shop took it apart. You'll have to pull the door panel to check it out.
