Problem with Extender Extreme

Hello all,

I just received my trans+ and extender extreme yesterday. However while looking at the spreadsheet that came with the chip, it says for "98 octane". I specified 92, but I guess it's programmed for 98? Will this cause problems? Can I fix this myself?

Edit* Called Mike and found out that 98 is standard setting for all chips that come with the trans +

Shouldn't, and you can adjust the timing anyway.

I just helped a friend with his new extreme, and on 94 it seems button on, and it said 98 also.

Do you have Direct Scan on the car?

I'd check the timing in the chip before you crank up the boost.

Might be able to see it on the scanmaster WOT with the right data stream.

Timing is usually 23 in 1st and 2nd and 21 in 3rd and 4th gears for the 98 setup.

Might want to retard timing 3-4 degrees with the T+ WOT timing wheel before actually going WOT.

Confirm what was sent to you by the folks you bought it from too.
