I have a friend of mine that is in a bad spot with their 2004 Expedition. The air ride acts like it is on hydraulics. It is currently sitting with the front all the way down and the back all the way up, and has the harshest rides I've ever driven. It sometimes is high on one side and low on the other. It just does whatever.
I checked it for a code but nothing. I could really use any ideas you might have, they really need to get it fixed bad but no money to take it anywhere. Please help.

Thanks, Larry

Larry,
I don't work on too may Ford's but, from past experience with Lincoln's, when the air bad system sensor or pump goes out its much cheaper just to replace the air ride kit with a regular shock kit. They should sell an Ford/Lincoln "Air-Bag to Gas Shock Conversion Kit" for it. He will still have to come out of pocket 2 to 400 bucks but, it still it be cheaper than constantly maintaincing that factory air bag system

Check height sensors on both front sides for broken or disconnected. Also compressor pumps either dont run or the vent solnoid wont shut.

It tourned out to be a $500.00 circuit board on my wife's expedition.
Changed it over to standard, which was the wrong thing to do, as the truck was totalled and I lost money on the insurance reimbursement!
