So this car I bought as a WE4 a few weeks ago and pulled out of a field just gave me a little surprise. I had the trunk open trying to figure out how to pull out the rear window without breaking it to see how extensive the trunk jamb rot was  and happened to glance at the option number sticker and saw my WE4 was also a WO2. I popped open a Kirban book and saw that these are supposed to be pretty rare? Does anyone know just how many WE4's came through with the WO2 option as well? And is there a way to figure out your production date when the sticker in your door jam is faded into oblivion? Thanks in advance

That's what Kirban's book says too for just the WE4 but he goes on to say that the WE4/WO2 overlap produced a few cars that were both WE4 and WO2 but at the time exact figures were unknown as to how many WE4's got through with the WO2 as well

There was an estimated 300 that came thru before the we-4 designation was started. Chrome bumpers black out trim with chrome trim marker lights. I have 1 sitting here with a split bench. Black out trim & chrome bumpers.

Hmm, this one has the black bumpers and steel bumper supports, no chrome. What was the WO2 on this car even for?

black out trim. Should have aluminum supports on a we-4 front & rear.
Black out with black bumpers hence we-4.

Your option tag has the vd6 + vd7 codes ,for the aluminum bumpers.
Check to see if the vin on the option tag matches the vin on your dash tag,the deck lid may have been changed.

Yep thats

A rare one thats probley been in a fender bender or two .. Alum drums on the car ?

We're assuming you know what aluminum bumper supports look like. You do know that the supports refered to are NOT the devices that attach the bumper to the frame don't you?
