Just wanted to give you guys a formal update on the ISAC. Essentially at this point, the controller is hardware complete. Software is about 95% done, with the only thing that has to be finalized is the boost controller logic within the unit itself. We expect to have a few beta units in our hands by the end of January. Since the unit is set up to accept a 5 bar MAP sensor, we're looking a little outside the Buick market so we're going to have people with various vehicles testing the betas. Rest assured a couple of Buick guys will have them as well.

Here are some screen shots from the latest build of the software. I'm pretty excited about this controller. I think it brings a new level of control to the alcohol game.

If it's half as good as the Coolingmist controller it should be a great seller.

Any idea on the price point for it?

What pump is it set up for?

For the controller alone, we're probably going to be around $350-$370. For our whole kit, probably a shade over $600.00.

Its been developed around the Shurflow pump since thats what most everyone is using.

nice work as always jay..

something like this would be nice for my old jayc propane kit in the trunk of my car should i ever get the desire to get it back on the street..

Things are coming right along!

Well, another update. The ISAC is feature complete. We're going to move into testing within the next couple of weeks. The firmware for the unit is finalized and everything is working. Now we just need to see how it works out in the field. We've got a number of units being assembled that we're going to distribute to people to test and give feedback on.

One thing that's cool about the ISAC is that for the price, it's going to be pretty appealing as a stand alone boost controller. The ISAC will work in the following modes.

-Stock GN mode, using stock hardware.
-Stock GN mode using a "high boost" solenoid
-Dual solenoid mode based on manifold pressure
-Dual solenoid mode based on wastegate balance pressure (external sensor)

There is a "soft-stage" mode that detects TPS<WOT, and controls to the "stage boost" setting. Or the unit can be configured with a stage-brake signal. For those without a trans-brake, a switch can be mounted to the brake pedal to control this.

Once launched the boost will rise based on Time, RPM, or Gear.

Given that we expect the ISAC to retail for under $400, that makes it pretty appealing in that aspect. If the boost controller side of things takes off, we can add more features as well or even spin it off into a standalone controller. There are just so many good boost controllers out there now, the market is probably saturated.

Oh yea, engine protection is also tied to the boost control function. Any failure and the front panel on the unit flashes a warning light and it pulls boost.

Not much has changed in the software side of things.. the data logging has been altered a little but thats about it so Im not going to post any screen shots unless people want to see the same old same old again.

More updates to come!

I didn't get one in the mail. :frown: ;)

Yea.. I dont have one either. We should have some units in our hands within a week or so. I know where a couple of the units are going but we're going to need a few more testers.

I am pretty good at programming and have 2 pumps on the car now.

Not both big honking sureflows but I could test a few of the optional features for sure.

And it's driven every day as well, easy test of durability and startup issues, driveability looks, display etc.

If you need a home for one. ;)
