I have Razors progressive kit on my car. I have the initial on the control box turned all the way up, and I also have the gain knob turned all the way up. If I dont have them both turned up I will get knock. Just wondering if I need a bigger nozzle or maybe dual nozzle set up or more tuning? I have Eric Marshall alky chip. 24* timing at 25 psi with te-63. 50lbs injectors walbro pump hot wired. The car pulls great, but no track time with alky yet. lowest reading on scanmaster 794 no knock. Just want more boost. :D :D

I think it's possible to you to get "rich" induced knock...I'm assuming that you followed his directions to the "t"...

Having the Initial turned all the way up is covering up some other fuel related issue. It creates to much initial pressure that should bog the motor unless its lean when its firing.

On a low-mid 11 sec GN, the controller as it comes is plenty.. unless there is something else underlying as an issue.

Maybe drop me a call and that way I can get a better picture of whats happening.

Something does sound wrong with the tune. I'm running the same timing as you in 1st/2nd with an extender chip. I left the initial the same as it was sent, turned up the gain to around 1:30, and blue knob on controller is around 3/4 of the way up. With my PT61 running 25# of boost even with mid 90° weather I didn't get any knock, and that's with the translator + set to 8% lean on WOT  . (The car really goes thru the alky with the gain up that high, but it's worth it!!)

Thanks, METHANOL ROCKS! ;)

And in my earlier post, I meant that I left the turn on the way it was shipped, not the initial...

Has the compression ratio been upped? if so, I suppose that could be a reason itself.

My engine has somewhere between 9-9.5 and I have to turn the initial up considerably in order to eliminate knock even with just 18-19 #'s of boost. I also must "prime" the alky system before making a wot run or it'll knock at any boost or PAC settings.

I also have one of Eric's chips (20*) and a TE63 turbo.
