Hey guys, thinking of a new project. Might be useful to tow the National with.

Because a blow thru carb setup doesnt have a sensor to automatically adjust for a/f would propane work as seamlessly or easily? Because it has a different density than air would I have to inject it below the carb with a nitrous plate?

Thanks guys,

Ryan

If it is a homebuilt turbo kit, propane should be able to work great with it. Since it is a fuel, it would easily richen up your misture under boost and you could avoid doing it with the carb. Even on EFI applications the propane causes it to run richer.

As far as where you inject it, it wouldn't really make much if a difference since it will completely mix with the air if given enough time. I wouldn't expect it to make any significant difference on the adjustments of your carb due to its density or quantity. You would probably be best off injecting it right after the intercooler if you are running one, otherwise inject it right after the turbo.

So what are your plans for a blow through setup, what engine, turbo, etc. Also what vehicle?
