How does the propane affect the EGT° when it "hits"? I'm looking into propane or alky, but leaning toward the propane for it's octane value. Opinions?

Thanks!

Propane lowers the EGT's same as alchy. No difference there, 'cept the propane tolerates a lower activation point (5-6 psi) while alchy is activated 2# before one would normally see detonation.

Thanks Tim,

I gather it lowers EGT° by virtue of being a richer mix? So, what's the accepted method of tuning - raise boost until the EGT° is back where you started?

EGT's will end up @1600 generally speaking. Each car/guage will read a little differently. As long as you have repeatability, an EGT is a fine way to ensure that the adjustments you are making are not pushing you into the 'danger range.'
