Especially since I have been just as fast with my 52 as Don has with his 61.

LOL...I hear ya Frank but the 60's are the new rage, gotta haves, and the 50's are the old junk.Look at Don's sales pitch for verification. All the new technology and yada yada yada, and it makes a whole 50hp more with a bigger better turbo? Not so different to me.Especially since I have been just as fast with my 52 as Don has with his 61.You could also list a 52 for sale, list a 61,and see which one sells first.Bet the "rage" will be gone asap and the antique outdated behind the times 52 will be getting bumped like a mother. Then again that might be the 50's rap as a time bomb waiting to happen.Me personally have had nothing but success with the 52 and think it's a great street turbo.Lots of miles, lots of abuse, and would never even think of getting rid of it to supposedly "upgrade" to a 61.
I am not knocking the 61 being a good turbo.I am sure it is.I just don't agree with the sentiment that the Q-Tip was just invented, and everyone else is just digging in their ears with their finger.+

and my answer is still very little.Since you and Don seem to agree that a 61 is not worth "upgrading to"(until it grenades) I would say we agree?
I will very soon let everyone know how fast a 52 is with ported irons, cam, and a rebuild.I am kinda of curious since I have a baseline with a completely stock motor.I will still suck driving though, and have contemplated slicks to help with launching.Don't know if that matters though as far as mph is concerned?
Anyways enough of the ramble, and hopefully I won't need a 61 after my next track visit due to flying exhaust wheel pieces.Quit trying to scare me Donnie.![]()
