Hey guys,
Anyone with experience changing from a pt and e ,63 exh. housing and upgrading to an 85 exh housing .Car has a 9" convertor,3000 stall, turbo is a pt52.The car spools very quickly now,I was just interested how much horsepower could be had with a new housing{85}

yea, I'm looking for the same info...I guess if you look at the PTE site, they list all turbos and HP...maybe we can determine from there...like TE60 vs TA52 hp levels....both listed at 600 hp capability...but I suspect that's the TA52 with .63 housing....I wonder why it's not listed with higher HP capability than the TE60 with the garrett .63 housing:confused: :confused:

Now I'm really confused...I was just looking at the PTE site and I notive that I was looking at the TA52 not the PT52 which is rated at 590 hp(10 hp less than TE60 and TA52) but faster time of high 10's compared to "low 11's" for the other 2. So where can I find the differences between the TA and PT 52's? Lower overall flow but faster times:confused:

Well I do know that the TA52 has the inlet bell and the PT version inlet is incorporated into the compressor housing,TE style,larger opening flows more air through.My question is if I changed the exh. housing to the high flow PT+E 85 housing,what kind of power increase could I expect.The PT+E 63 housing is very nice and my turbo spools very quickly with the 9" conv.,but is their alot of power to be had with a larger housing or not much.

I JUST TALKED TO PATRICK AT PT AND E.HE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD GAIN ABOUT 15-20 HP.I WOULD DEFINETLY NEED AN CONVERTOR TO KEEP IT SPOOLING QUICK
