PT71 or PT70 GTQ spooling duel

Will the PT71 GTQ with the billet wheel spool faster than a PT70 GTQ? With my sig below and a 3600 Vig be enough?

In my opinion the difference if any would be unmeasurable. Both of those turbos have the same exhaust wheel and housing and thats where spool up time would be.

Come on Louie, you know somebody will swear one spools faster than the other and fight to the death over it.

Can somebody weigh the 70 wheel over the billet 71 wheel, maybe rotating mass will be a factor.

I have a 70GTQ and it spools like a stocker, guess it helps with the right converter.

You know it is bad-ass when your friend has a 10.80 GN and he looses his coffee and screams slow down.

Billy is the man and nothing was spared with this car. It is everything I have waited so long for and then some.

I would never do a project car again, been there done that. Between the time, the money, and the BS it is just not worth to me. This is the real deal.

Yeah...I saw some rolling tire smoking video on the magna board....

I definately hear you on the project thing....Thats why I bought Ken Seggies TSM car...I just dont have the time anymore Between the House and Family,To do another buildup on a car...I am going out to pull the GEN 6 dfi off the car right now actually,and put a stock ecm/ls1Maf/Trans+ and see how it runs...With the DFI on it,It has a bad off Idle stumble,And since I have no clue what Im doing with it,I cant fix it....

Also there is always ATCO....Mar.20th Mustang vs GN...I am trying to make that one with the MAGNA Club.

And I was just down your way yesterday...(Exit 91)was Looking to buy a z-71 Tahoe....But definately not at that dealership.....

What a small world, I spoke to Ken on that car and was kinda hot on it but decided 1 is enough. I had 2 and something was always breaking, if I was not laying under the T... I was laying under the GN. I said the hell with it, sold both cars all my Stage parts and bought this cherry.

Have you called Ken for any support, he seems cool. Plenty of guys around to tune you in, I would hate to see you take it off once dialed in you would never turn back.

Don't feel bad, first car that I have owned with FAST. We kinda all just looked at it and said nice I have a long way to go myself with it. I am lucky though car runs like a top and if I need any help Billy has been really helpful.

Ditto on time, family, work. It is tight, we are in the same boat.

71GTQ....3500 9-1/2 in.Art Carr Non Lockup...Spools too fast actually....Very rough on tires......

Answering your question avbout the car....It was everything I thought It was....It has a few nicks and scratches,The Interior is real nice...GNX cluster,No rust anywhere..I am going to pull the DFI off for now....With the times and mph that the car was running,Im thinking that its power level is past where you could expect stock pistons to live a long life at...Along with the rods,(even with all the ARP Studs,Bolts)..At least All the Mains are Billet..I didnt buy this car to run TSM with...I bought it to detune some and still have a easy 10 sec street car....That could be turned up if had too....

At those levels the car running without a girdle, IMO short lived. Keep us posted and get down here one weekend when the weather breaks.
