Well I sold my PTE FM and now I miss it,,, Is the CAS V4 close in performance, what I meen is I have more turbo lag with the stock IC than I did with the PTE FM,:( no kidding right,,well I would like to know if the CASV4 is that good or should I spend the extra $100 on the PTE

For 100 bucks more, I'd definatly go with the front mount.....but I can't afford either right now. :(

Go with the PTE front mt. I just got mine 2 days ago and have it installed already. Fills the whole area in front of radiator really nice unit! Besides you might have to wait month's to get anything from CAS. Just my 2cents. Tarey D. :D

No question, go with the PTE. CAS V4 is a great intercooler but it is still not a frontmount.

I have been waiting what seems like forever on my cas v4 and noticed pte has the front mount on sale . I have a notion to call and cancell the cas and get the pte. the v4 seems to be well liked, so I ordered one, but it would be nice to get it on and make a pass before winter.. would the performance level be similar between the two?

Front mount is more of a race car intercooler while the V4 is a street/strip. If going to a front mount make sure your cooling system is up to the task. You'll get better performance gains out of the front mount by a tenth or so. Biggest difference will be when going mid 10's or faster when the front mount will shine best. If you plan on staying in the 11's or high 10's V4 will work just fine. Faster I'd go with the front mount. The PTE unit has proven to work well in the very low 9's/high 8's. PTE has a pretty good price going on their front mounts right now. Up to you if you want to take advantage of it.
